My sound working place is a small 9m² (roughly 2mx4.5m)room in a brick backyard cabin. The walls are rockwool-insulated (from the inside) and covered with plasterboard. There is a large bay window on one of the long walls. Without treatment, the acoustics were ok-ish but not so good (>500ms RT60, bass buildup, slight flutter echo). I read lots of various ressources, made some measures and ended up with what was the best solution in my context. I needed the most possible amount of absorption whithout sacrificing too much space.

I made 5 large "panels" in the easiest possible way with the materials available in my region (.fr) :
  • 12 insulation panels made of recycled clothes/denim,
  • 5 ready-to-assemble bookshelves
